Good Friday Recipes with Atlantic Treasures

I’m delighted to be sharing three easy and delicious fish recipes in my collaboration with Atlantic Treaures.  I’ve been a massive fan of the top-quality fish this brand has to offer since I first tried their delicious mackerel range, and I’ve since fell in love with the other fish used in my recipes below.

The O’Donnell family from Killybegs have been processing fish from the clear crystal waters of the Atlantic for over 30 years. Their hand-crafted products are smoked and marinated with only the best quality fish in their Atlantic Treasures range which can be traced from boat to basket. It’s available to buy from their online store, Supervalu, Tesco, Dunnes and more. 😋

In terms of the health benefits of these recipes – salmon is an excellent source of lean protein, omega-3 fatty acids and is low in saturated fats. Included regularly in the diet it can help improve brain function. Mackerel is a brilliant source of lean dietary protein as it contains 9 of the essential amino acids needed for the body. It also contains a substantial amount of omega-3 fatty acids. It contains vitamin K and vitamin E. It is also very rich in the B12 vitamin which is essential for the immune and nervous system, it contains minerals such as selenium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus and folate. Herring is also a great source of Omega-3, Vitamin D and selenium.
